Job Title: Electrical/Instrumentation Manager
Job Summary
• To undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure and ensure that installation of electrical wiring in buildings and poles, troubleshooting malfunctions, blackouts and repairing appliances. Should be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems.
Job Description
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all activities related to electrical maintenance
• Identify, implement and manage Electrical and instrumentation projects
• Review the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly to minimise unplanned down times
• Anticipate problems in a timely manner and identify opportunities for improvement
• Ensure availability to supplies of spare parts and materials to meet plant operational needs
• Develop and implement effective electrical and instrumentation standards and procedures
• Must be able to read, interpret and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation blue prints (drawings and schematics)
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance programme for plant equipment
• Inspect, tests, adjusts and repairs electric, electronic, mechanical and pneumatic instrument and test accuracy of flow meters, pressure gauges and all result reading equipment
• Prepare daily electrical and instrumentation report to production manager and other designated individuals
Qualification Required & Experience
• BSc or HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or its equivalent from a recognised institution
• Minimum of 4 years of working experience with at least three year in a supervisory role
• Must possess the ability to perform root cause failure analysis
• Must possess a practical and in-depth working knowledge and experience with PLCS (especially Siemens step 7 PLCs)
• Must have a "can do" spirit and must be one who does not give up easily
