Job Title: Senior consultant - Information and Communications Technology (ICT)

Purpose:

• Advises on and manages ICT applications and systems that the entity can use to achieve its corporate objectives or overcome problems more effectively and efficiently

Principal Responsibilities

• Supervising the production of integrated entity database regularly
• Configuring, operating and maintaining all PC/LAN systems and managing the Entity Database to generate reports to various stakeholders in an efficient and timely manner
• Training entity staff in the use of the LAN system and internet and providing user support, as well as identifying information technology training needs of entity staff, developing and providing appropriate training
• Developing and maintaining a systematic preventive-oriented approach to routine network maintenance tasks
• Developing an ICT/Internet policy for entity for ensuring safe, effective and efficient use of all ICT/Internet facilities
• Planning for Disaster Recovery and Contingency for all systems and implementing plan
• Disseminating information on the current usage and practice in the ICT industry
• Providing management advisory services where ICT is concerned
• Ensuring that all computer hardware are well maintained/repaired and taken care of
• carrying out any other assignments that may be given from to time
• To employ the use of the state-of-the-Art ICT business process systems for the Entity, bearing in mind cost/benefit analysis
• Ensuring value for money in all the ICT software and hardware procurement for the Entity
• Designing or procuring bespoke ICT systems/applications that are tailored for efficient and effective running of the entity operations

Qualification Required & Experience

• A first degree from a recognised University in Computer Engineering or programming, with a minimum of 5 years working experience in a comparable position
• Must have adequate knowledge and skills in business management. A postgraduate degree will be an added advantage
• Must show knowledge and experience in Web designing and modern ICT tools like social media activation

Accountabilities

• Accountable to the Chief of Administration for proper performance of responsibilities
