The Area Sales Manager is accountable for the sales and promotion of the full range of Eaton's hydraulic products to accredited distributors, end-users and contracts in West Africa. Plan, lead, organize and control the market strategies, promotion and sales of Eaton products.
Your Role
• Responsible for assigned accounts/territories, promote & execute the sale of company products and systems.
• Grow company business and expand customer base by identifying potential partners/customers/markets and developing appropriate channel strategies to take advantage of new business opportunities
• Coordinate regionally & globally with key account managers, product managers, and application engineers to support the close out of identified opportunities
• Participate in determining & negotiating sales contract terms & conditions, advising general manager of significant market, business, and competitor factors influencing sales commitments
• Develop contacts with appropriate customers to determine requirements, present product and engineering information and to establish strong business relationships
• Investigate & analyze customer problems/needs and recommend solutions
• Co-operate with Finance, supply chain, customer service, engineering personnel and other internal functions
• Implement Eaton Hydraulice programs at Distributors. Partner with distributors in developing sales plan and product forecasts to maximize business opportunities and sales growth
Qualification Required & Experience
• Mechanical Engineering Degree - Hydraulics preferably
• A Business Management qualification is highly desirable, an MBA would be preferably
• 5 years technical sales experience in the mining sector with knowledge in distribution channels
• Extensive working experience across West Africa.
