A universal bank is looking for suitably qualified and experienced person with demonstrated track record in managing the Internal Audit function at corporate level to fill the position of: Head, Internal Audit

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the incumbent include but not limited to the following:

• Develop and execute comprehensive audit plan for evaluating the management controls provided over all activities of the bank
• Conduct operational and functional audits of departments and all branches of the bank
• Review procedures and records for their adequacy to accomplish intended objectives, and appraising policies and plans relating to the activity or function under audit review
• Advise management on the bank's policies, procedures and activities and make recommendations for operational improvements and to comply with statutory and legal requirements
• Appraise the adequacy of actions taken by management to correct reported deficient conditions, accept adequate corrective action
• Investigate and report to the audit committee of the board, Bank of Ghana and Police any fraudulent activity in the Bank
• Conduct special examinations at the request of management, including investigations, the reviews of representations made by persons outside the bank
• Supervise and provide direction for the activities of subordinate staff and provide guidance to them for their professional development

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum qualification of a 1st Degree and/or a professional qualification from ICA, ACCA, CIMA etc
• Must have minimum experience of 10 years experience in auditing
• Must have minimum of 5 years experience in senior management position in the financial sector.
