Key Responsibilities

The Legal Associate reports directly to the Legal Counsel and is responsible for:

• Assisting in the management of the legal recovery processes of the company, as well as overseeing the work of external lawyers
• Managing and overseeing the company's relations with external stakeholders
• Providing legal advice on all matters relating to the Company and all its businesses
• Drafting, editing and reviewing legal documents
• Managing and influencing decisions in a variety of functional areas, including but not limited to commercial transactions, intellectual property, labour and employment, corporate goverance and compliance, government relations and regulations, among others

Qualification Required & Experience

• A Bachelor's Degree in Law or its equivalent, who must be a qualified lawyer called to the Ghana Bar
• At least 2 to 3 years of post call experience
• Strong advocacy skills and litigation experience
• Knowledge of investment banking operations, experience obtained in a financial institution will be an added advantage
• Integrity, being honest, truthful, and reliable
• Problem-solving skills
• Strong networking skills: Ability to establish and maintain positive business relationships
• Tenacity: Ability to persist in overcoming obstacles to success
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
