A fast growing rural bank with Head Office in the Central Region is seeking to employ qualified professional / persons to fill the following position: Risk and Compliance Officer

Job Title: Risk and Compliance Officer

Role:

• To develop and implement a Risk Management framework for the entire operations of the bank and recommend strategies for managing the risks inherent in the operations of the Bank
• He/She shall report to the Board of Directors

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop a risk management framework for the entire operations of the bank
• Ensure effective and efficient management of operational Risk, Liquidity Risk, Credit Risk, interest Rate Risk and IT Risk
• Carry out periodic Assessment of effectiveness of controls identified in implementing the Risk Management Framework of the bank
• Develop Risk Awareness programme for staff and Board

Qualification Required & Experience

• Minimum of First Degree in Finance, accounting or related field
• Diploma in Accounting / Finance and professional certificate
• High level understanding of risk and credit management in the Financial sector
• At least 5 years in banking experience of which 3 years must be in top management level particularly in a rural bank
• Well abreast of the financial regulatory environment
