Job Vacancy For Accounts Officer
A reputable and well established company providing financial services is seeking to recruit results-driven, self-motivated and suitably qualified applicants to fill the following position: Accounts Officer
Reporting to Head of finance & Administration, the job holder is responsible for reconciliation, fixed and asset register and receivables management.
Summary of Functions & Responsibilities
• Assist in preparing the organization's monthly, quarterly and annual bank reconciliations statements
• Assist in the processing payroll, statutory returns and other staff benefits
• Extract periodic trail balances, perform reconciliation of ledger accounts and raise journal vouchers for ledger accounts adjustment
• Verify accuracy of all outputs for proper accounting purposes budget performance review by tracking actual performance against budget
• Maintain an up-to-date and accurate fixed asset register to support financial reporting and regulatory requirements
Qualification Required & Experience
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Level 3 of (CIMA, ACCA, ICA)
• A minimum of 4 years progressive work experience, 2 of which should be with an audit form
Required knowledge, skills and ability
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Organised and methodical approach to records keeping and reporting
• Highly analytical with strong problem solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Excellent numerical skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and demonstrated experience in the use of Tally Accounting software
