Job Vacancy For HSE Engineer
Responsibilities
The job holder is responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
• Support in the coordination and implementation of environmental monitoring program including implementation of Biodiversity Action Plans at company operational sites (both onshore and offshore) to ensure compliance with WBG, legislative and company requirements
• Providing technical and operational advice on environmental protection issues and support to company and contractors as and when needed
• Coordinating with Technical Departments (Exploration, Drilling, Operations, Projects, etc) to prepare relevant documents for permits
• Liaising with local environmental regulator to steward permit application, review and timely issurance
• Participating in WBG compliance audits carried out by independent auditors
• Preparation and timely submission of WBG Annual & Quarterly reports
• Preparation and timely submission of Annual environmental reports, monthly
• Environmental reports and and Well Terminal Reports to Ghana EPA
• Environmental reporting in company system on Water, GHG, Waste, Radiation, etc
• Monitoring, calculating and analyzing GHG Emissions as per company KPIs
• Participating in definition of scope of work, technical evaluation for tender process and management of contract activities such as provision of waste management, provision of onshore & offshore environmental monitoring, provision of environmental services, etc as and when required
• Supporting internal and external environmental audits and closing of audit non-conformances
• Providing support to other teams in the preparation of relevant documentation, information and gathering of data necessary to compile statutory reports and obtain other relevant permits and certificates from authorities
• Drafting procedures that are necessary for the implementation as part of the HSE-IMS as and when required
• Reviewing and critiquing contractor supplied environmental related documentation, such as environmental management plans, waste management plans, and monitoring reports etc
• Reviewing and Monitoring reports etc
• Reviewing environmental monitoring reports and providing timely feedback on reports
Qualification Required & Experience
The job holder must have:
• Degree in Environmental, Chemical engineering or other related discipline
• Minimum 1 to 2 years experience in similar field. Main area of experience include
1) Experience in monitoring data analysis report development
2) Knowledge in waste management and environmental monitoring activities, knowledge of international codes and local regulations relevant to environment
Required Competencies

• Ability to work in team environments, communicate, understand and work within the dynamics of a multi-functional and multi-national environment
• Problems-solving and analytical skills
• Computer literate in Microsoft office, word, excel, powerpoint
• Strong commitment to HSE
Good communication, interpersonal, written, spoken and presentation skills, including good writing of effective reports.
