Job Description:

We are looking for very good, experienced frontend, backend or Full stack developers who can code without frameworks to work as a team (of 3 - 4 developers) [you can apply as individuals] to build a web platform that encompasses some features from job boards, classified ads portals, social media, eCommerce, and freelance sites.

Of course, not all features from these types of platforms will be found on it but some from each of them will be merged to form this new platform.

• Creating elegant but easy to use web applications.
• Developing and implement front end strategies to increase usability.
• Transforming designer’s concepts (designs, wireframes, mockups) to life with HTML, CSS, and Javascript. (for frontend developers)
• Ensuring cross browser and device compatibility (Responsive web) of the webapp. Support diverse clients from desktops computers to small mobile devices.
• Constantly optimizing our platform to increase engagement, usability without compromise on simplicity, aesthetics and user dynamics.
• Optimizing application for maximum speed and scalability.

Web Developer Job Duties

• Regular exposure to business stakeholders and executive management, as well as the authority and scope to apply your expertise to many interesting technical problems.
• Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
• The position requires constant communication with colleagues.
• Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
• Work with the web developer team to create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling the website and platforms
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
• Undertake domain name registrations and management
• Understand website hosting and troubleshooting

Qualification Required & Experience

Web Developer Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven working experience in web programming
• JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Web Programming Skills, E-Commerce, Teamwork, Verbal Communication, cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles, Multimedia Content Development, API’s
• Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, Python, ASP.NET, Javascript or Ruby on Rails, Java
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
• Knowledge of Domain registration, Web Hosting management
• Knowledge of Social Media management
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
• Ability to use version control to manage code
• Strong knowledge in web development.
• Knowledge in web security best practices
• Knowledge of any mockup tool and photoshop is a plus (for frontend developers)
