Job Vacancy For Human Resource Officer



Job Outline

• The objective of the job role is to manage the HR activities of the Takoradi branch and to act as liaison between the HR Manager and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of all HR queries
• The job holder will also support branch HR activities and assist in coordinating HR policies, processes and relevant documents

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties in the branch
• Provide clerical and administrative support to functional executives of the branch
• Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies) in the branch
• Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities i.e staffing recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc
• Coordinate branch HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes
• Coordinate all industrial relations issues such as rules & regulations and discipline
• Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data i.e adsences, bonus, leave, overtime
• Communicate with government agencies at the branch level
• Handles staff complaints and grievance procedures
• Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees
• Conduct Exit interviews for Non-Managerial staff existing the company from the branch

Qualification Required & Experience

• Required a minimum of tertiary education preferably a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration (Management Option) or Engineering from a University accredited by the Tertiary Education board plus membership of professional institution in Human Resource Management

Previous Work Experience Required

• Must have at least 3 years work experience in a similar role within preferably an industry related to our industry
• Must be conversant with labour laws/Decrees and labour regulations

Personal Skills Requirements

• Must have good communication skills, leadership skills, negotiation skills, tenacity, self-motivation and very good information technology (IT) skills especially must be very proficient with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel and Power Point as well as the use of the internet
