Geodrill is a leading mining support service provider in Africa, offering mineral exploration drilling services. Geodrill currently has operations in Ghana, Burkina Faso, Cote D'lvorie, Mali and Zambia.

Due to expansion in operations, Geodrill announces a vacancy for an experienced and suitable Accountant to join the Finance team of our Ghana Operations.

The position reports to the Finance Manager.

Job Summary

The incumbent will perform the following specific tasks:

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year and close processes
• Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of transactions
• Prepare monthly reconciliations
• Assist internal control documentation and compliance
• Prepare weekly liquidity reports
• Prepare financial management reports
• Assist in audit preparation and support
• Make certain all financial reporting deadlines are met
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data
• Recommends financial actions by analysing accounting options
• Preparation of monthly statutory returns and payments for PAYE, SSNIT, WHT and VAT
• Other duties as needed

Qualification Required & Experience

Candidates should have the following qualification and experience

• Accounting Degree and ACCA or ICAG qualification
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
• Previous experience with a mining or mineral exploration drilling company is a plus
• Exhibit good grasp of international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
• Candidates should have advanced knowledge and skills in the use of using Microsoft Great Plains system will be an advantage
