Job Vacancy At African Mining Services (4 Positions)
Applications are invited for the position of:
1. Tyre Supervisor
2. Tyre Serviceman Leading Hand
3. Senior Tyre Serviceman
4. Tyre Serviceman Trainee
Key Duties:
1 The person must have the ability to diagnose and find tyre and rim faults/problems and solve them when they arise
2 Be able to follow instructions/directions
3 Must have the ability to learn new ways and ideas
4 Identify bad work practices immediately and act on them as soon as possible with workers before they become problems or accidents on site
5 Ensure that the job assigned is run in a way that is very safe for all workers at the workplace
6 Must be able to work away from home for extended periods. Must be able to work under pressure and in all weather conditions at remote locations.
Qualification & Experience
1. For positions 1 to 3 above, candidates must hold a current Earthmover Tyre Serviceman Certificate of Competency.
2. Must have basic education with at least three (3) years working experience and be self-motivated with excellent work
attendance record
3. Person must be competent in handling heavy duty equipment tyres of all types in a safe manner with full knowledge of
safety procedures and practices, as well as incident and accident reporting
4. An understanding and experience in open pit mining operations will be an advantage
5. Person must be able to read, write, speak, understand English language, and communicate well with peers, expatriates and other supervisors
6. Person must be conscious of their personal safety and that of their colleagues
7. Must have a clean valid Ghanaian Professional Driver’s License
Remuneration:
Very attractive and commensurate with experience
