Job Summary:

As part of its restructuring process, the company has the above vacancy to fill.

Responsibilities:
The General Manager Finance will be expected to:

•  Plan, organise and manage all financial and accounting functions in the Finance Department
•  Institute a system of cash management through the efficient operation of short term and long term cash foremost to determine deficit and surplus cash positions from time-to-time
•  Lead project financing efforts by accessing capital and/or debt markets to fund projects capital requirements on the basis of acceptable net present values, and to administer the acquisition and discharge of loans of the corporation contracted internally and externally
•  Implement effective internal controls over expenses and revenues

Conditions of Service: The Salary and Conditions of service for the above position are very attractive and negotiable.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  The applicant must have a Master's degree in Finance or Accounting and must be fully chartered with CA, ACCA. Additionally, he/she must have had at least eight (8) years post qualification experience at Management level in a postal industry or twelve (12) years working experience in a management grade from a reputable commercial/industrial organisation
•  Applicants must not be more than 45 years

Skills and Competencies:

•  Must be a team player, change agent, show a lot of initiative and be able to work under pressure
•  Ability to manage a large number of staff
•  Must have excellent interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
•  Must be proficient in Microsoft suite with hands on experience in the use of Accounting software
