The Presbyterian Centre for Vocational Instructors' Development (PRECEVID) is a centre of Excellence to train Professionals for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector in Ghana.

Job Summary:

PRECEVID is a new and still evolving centre located in Kumasi and seeks dedicated, energetic and competent persons to occupy position in the Hospitality Unit.

Role:

•  Co-ordinate and plan, the general functioning of the Hospitality Unit
•  Manage the 12-room training hotel facility of PRECEVID as a unique concept for training in the Hospitality Industry and as viable business venture
•  Perform day-to-day operational control of service, costs and revenues
•  Research and inputs into course content, learning materials and methods of instruction to achieve set goals and objectives
•  Conduct training in modules to increase trainees knowledge and competencies in all areas of the hotel
•  Develop and sustain organisational stability and vitality
•  Analyze operation tread, cost and make revenue projection for the hospitality unit

Qualification Required & Experience

A minimum of a First degree in Hospitality Management with at least five (5) years Pre or Post-HND working experience in the Hospitality Industry. Experience in a similar venture would be an added advantage

Competencies:

•  Proven skills in leadership, management, team building, interpersonal relations and communication
•  Demonstrates knowledge in Competency-Based Training (CBT) and assessment approach
•  Demonstrates knowledge and skills of the principles and acceptable practices in the Hospitality Industry
•  Ability to multitask in the four (4) areas of the hotel (Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage Service and Kitchen Operations)
•  Demonstrates business acumen/proven entrepreneurial skills
