Job Vacancy For Marketing and PR Manager
A private university is looking to hire a Marketing and PR Manager to join its team.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Suggest new methods to identify customers’ needs;
• Analyse marketing metrics (conversion rates, web analytics, etc.);
• Assist with promotional events to attract leads;
• Maintain and enhance the company’s reputation in the eyes of the higher education audience;
• Develop marketing techniques to drive students’ recruitment;
• Develop marketing techniques to maintain current students;
• Develop, operationalize and implement annual Marketing strategies and plans;
• Work closely with Recruitment & Admissions Department to achieve enrolment target and market the university’s brand;
• Development of marketing strategies and unique brand positioning (voice, tone, message) across all end-to-end communications;
• Development and execution of the annual marketing/communication calendar;
• Manage the annual marketing/communication advertising budget; secure budget approval and manage effectively in line with objectives;
• Evolve and implement branded messaging through all content to ensure the consumer voice and relevant brand components are accurately and consistently represented across our channels of communication;
• Create/copy edit content that helps bring student/alumni experience to life in real and meaningful ways (interviews, blogs, newsletters, videos, long/short form, infographics), increase awareness, engagement, and conversion activities;
• Manage, coordinate, and edit Student Life Blog content from external contributors (staff, students, faculty, alumni, and content writers);
• Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, top competitor brand positioning, key messages, and industry trends;
• Lead and implement social strategy for the University’s objectives. Campaign performance and best practices should drive recommendations;
• Strengthen the prospective student audience/market understanding through surveys, and focus groups. Leverage findings to recommend innovative opportunities that will inform both downstream and upstream marketing;
• Nurture and oversee relationships with Academic Departments, Alumni, Students and other departments for events, newsletter content, etc.;
• Closely monitor competitive presence and industry trends across various message boards, business newsletters and social media;
Qualification Required & Experience
Educational/Academic Qualifications:
• A Master’s degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, MBA (Marketing option) or a related discipline
• Professional certification in marketing i.e. CIM etc.
• Professional certification in Advertising
Technical:
• Significant knowledge in Marketing and Advertising and emerging market trends;
• Significant knowledge in Brand Management;
• Strong business and marketing acumen;
• Proposal writing skills;
• Good Knowledge of digital marketing;
• At least 6 years’ post-qualification work experience
Planning and Organising Skills required
• Experience of planning, prioritizing and organising work on daily, weekly and monthly basis, individually and as part of a team, while ensuring the effective use of resources and delivering to tight deadlines;
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with experience of managing a large range of different stakeholders;
Communication Skills Required
• Excellent written and oral communication and negotiation skills;
• Excellent influencing skills and the ability to communicate with credibility, tact and diplomacy internally and externally;
• Good report writing skills;
• Excellent presentation skills;
