A reputable financial institution in the Central Region is looking for a vibrant and dedicated person to fill the following position: Head of Operations & Business Development

Responsibilities

• Oversee various activities of branches and mobilization centres
• Establish and achieve sales targets and promote various banking services to customers
• Maintain effective relationship with customers, analyse requirements and recommend appropriate product and initiate growth for bank
• Supervise and ensure compliance with know your customer guidelines, while regularly reviewing KYC status, customer profiles and conduct risk assessments
• Provide guidance and recommendations to support resolution of customer complaints to improve overall customer experience
• Facilitate growth in business by ensuring customer satisfaction, actively participate for retention of deposits, identify and follow up on cross sell leads along with Branch Manager to strengthen the liability position of the Bank
• Lead the Branch Operations team to set individual objectives, review performance appraisal and provide ongoing feedback on a formal and informal basis so that all staff are aware of what they are required to achieve and how they are performing against their objectives
• Collaborate with I.T Department to develop financial backup plans to protect businesses operations in the event of major crisis
• Train, motivate and cross-train the retail branch managers on responsibilities and projects to ensure consistency, occuracy, timeliness and compliance following bank's standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Directs all the retail operational aspects of the Bank including customer service, administration and sales in accordance with the Bank's objectives

Qualification Required & Experience

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking or related business discipline
• A member of a Professional regulatory body in Accounting or Banking would be an added advantage
• A minimum of 5 years experience in similar position
