The Managing Director shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank and shall be responsible to the Board for the overall administration of the Bank.

Job Summary

. Exercising oversight over all aspects of the company operations
. Offer liaison between the board and management
. Assisting the board in ensuring that the company is regulations complaint
. Implementing the strategic plans and decisions of the board
. Advise the board on risks and operational challenges
. Submitting proposal to the board on growth and profitability to meet stakeholders expectations

Key Duties And Responsibilities

The candidate responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

. Assist the board in customer analysis and evolve appropriate business development strategies
. Propose to the board robust internal control system required by industry regulators to ensure safety and soundness of the institution
. Assist the board in meeting the appropriate mix of quality and quantity human capital for the company
. Generate periodic report on progress of business operations in line with regulaory and prodential requirements of the bank of Ghana
. Assist the board in reviewing regulators and auditors reports as well as proposing remedial measures to correct identified deficiencies

Personal Specifications

A. Qualifications And Experience

. Bachelor's degree in any academic discipline
. Post graduate degree in banking and finance
. Professional accounting or banking qualification (ICAGH, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACIB) will be an added advantage
. Minimum of ten years experience in the financial industry especially in money market operations

B. Relevant Skills

. ICT software's applications for the financial services industry
. Human relations
. Communications
. Negotiations

C. Competences

. Familiar with the legal and regulatory frame work of the financial industry
. Sound knowledge of the prudential returns and regulatory requirement of the bank of Ghana
. Dexterity in risk management generally and in particular credit and operational risk insight in the Basle core principles of banking
