Job Vacancy For Reintegration Assistant
Title: Reintegration Assistant
Duty Location: Tamale, Northern Region Of Ghana
Grade: G4
Type Of Contract: Special All Inclusive
Under the overall guidance of the Chief of Mission of IOM Ghana and the direct supervision of the Reintegration Project Manager, the incumbent will be responsible to assist with all aspects of IOM reintegration activities.
Roles and responsibilities:
. Assist in the selection of target project beneficiaries;
. Assist in liaising with local governmental and private sector and civil society partners in implementing various aspects of IOM’s reintegration projects;
. Assisting in selecting service providers at the local level for IOM projects;
. Assist in monitoring the work of service providers at the local level;
. Assist in preparing and submitting regular reports to IOM main office in Accra;
. Undertake monitoring missions to the districts and communities to assess progress made by the project beneficiaries;
. Assist to hosting all delegations who visit the field to monitor IOM’s activities
. Assist in undertaking the organization of meetings and events related to IOM’s project within the project implementation areas;
. Assist in facilitating the provision of reintegration assistance to all project beneficiaries;
. Participate in all relevant meetings at the regional, district and community level on behalf of IOM;
. Assist to undertake initiatives towards the promotion of IOM’s image and activities in the country; and
. Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Reintegration Officer, and/or the Chief of Mission
Desirable Academic Qualifications and Experience:
1. Minimum diploma from an accredited academic institution preferably in social sciences;
2. At least 4 years of work experience post-graduation;
3. Previous work experience with UN, International NGOs, Local NGOs or Civil Society Organizations
4. Good communication and negotiation skills,
5. Experience with raising awareness in the public domain;
6. Good report writing skills;
7. Determination and ability to travel frequently and work under difficult and hardship conditions
8. Preference will be given to candidates residing in Tamale
