The Ghana Railway Development Authority is the designated developer of rail infrastructure and regulator in the rail sector. As part of the set-up process, the Authority has a vacancy to fill.

The Principal Procurement Officer will provide technical support for achievement of the objectives of the procurement unit.

He will provide inputs for the preparation of the procurement plan for the Authority, ensure effective management of tender processes, liaise with Service providers in the management of contracts, analyze data on service providers for procurement management and supervise the organization of contract negotiation.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  He/she must have a minimum of a Master's Degree in a relevant field or discipline, be a member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS)/first degree in Procurement, and a minimum of six (6) years relevant work of experience two (2) years of which must be in a senior management position in a reputable institution.
•  Excellent knowledge of the Public Procurement Act 2003, FAA & IAA, procurement management skills, quantitative and analytical skills,d communication and Interpersonal skills and proficiency in relevant IT applications are required
