The Ghana Railway Development Authority is the designated developer of rail infrastructure and regulator in the rail sector. As part of the set-up process, the Authority has a vacancy to fill.

The Principal Accountant will assist the Director of Finance in executing the Financial Management function of the Authority.

He will ensure the preparation of periodic reports, including the Financial Statements, maintenance of the inventory and fixed Assets registers, adhere to Financial Management arrangements as defined in the Accounting manual, and regularly update the books of accounts.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  He/she must have a minimum of a Master's Degree from a recognized institution in Accounting or finance, and have a minimum of six (6) years relevant work experience, three (3) years of which should be in a senior management position in a reputable organisation, and must be a member of a Professional Accounting Body e.g. CIA, ICA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA
•  Excellent knowledge in Financial Administration Audit and Procurement laws and regulations, computer proficiency, good ability to analyze analyze and evaluate data, strategic planning, research and analytical skills, and excellent leadership, report writing skills are required
