A steadily-growing corporate Group is urgently searching to employ professional security guards to protect some of its of its major installations in Accra and other locations.

Summary of job description:

• Selected candidates would be required to undertake continuous and full surveillance of the Groups properties and the protection of the general public, including visitors.
• In addition, selected guards shall be responsible for detecting any suspicious happenings and preventing vandalism, thefts or any other criminal behavior and reporting on such incidents to their accredited superiors.

Qualifications and age limits:

• Preferred ages-between eighteen (18) and thirty-five (35) years
• Basic SHS certificate
• Professional Security Training Certificate/Accreditation

Experience:

• At least, two (2) years’ experience a Security Guard or a similar role

Other Requirements:

• Good health and physical fitness
• Observation and recognitive skills
• Ability to identify and recognize faces, heights, colour and forms
• Basic IT knowledge and skills
• Ability to read and write
• Linguistic flexibility may be an added advantage
• No criminal records
• Team player
• Communication and time-management and interpersonal skills
• Must reside around Teshie, Spintex, La, Labone, cantonment and any other communities around the Airport.

Security Scope of duties and responsibilities:

• Regular patrols and inspection
• Monitor property entrance and exit
• Authorize entrance of people and vehicles
• Report any suspicious behaviors and happenings
• Secure all exits, doors and windows
• Monitor surveillance cameras
• Respond to alarms and react in a timely manner
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity
• Submit reports of every suspicious action
• patrol around premises to investigate signs of intrusion
• Contacts police or fire department in an emergency
• Keeps a log of all visitors
• Apprehend criminals or those not adhering to company rules
• Monitors all parking situations
• Screens individuals as they arrive on the premises
• Must be able to work on all shifts (day/night)
• Ability to drive motor bike may be an added plus
