A group of companies with interest in manufacturing, fishing, farming and mining located in the Tema Heavy Industrial area is seeking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced persons as:- Senior Accountant

The Role

•  Ensuring that the financial records of the company are maintained in accordance with the best industrial practices
•  Preparation of periodic financial statements and cash flow forecasts
•  Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly management accounts
•  Maintenance of accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers
•  Maintenance and safeguarding of the company’s assets
•  Monitoring of stores and ensuring effective inventory control

Qualification Required & Experience

As a minimum requirement, the ideal candidate will have:

•  A first degree in accounting from a recognized university and will be partly or fully qualified accountant
•  Strong analytical background and cost / management accounting practice
•  Significant knowledge and experience in accounting software
•  Five years relevant working experience, preferably in a related industry
•  Ability to work beyond normal working hours
•  Be forty (40) years or above
