Newmont Ghana Gold Limited and Newmont Golden Ridge Limited, subsidiaries of Newmont Mining Corporation, one of the would's gold mining companies, are seeking to recruit qualified and experienced persons for the following positions at its Ahafo operations and Akyem project respectively:- Shift Trainer, Process Operations 121708

The successful candidate will report to the operations superintendent.S/he will coach/mentor and train shift supervisors and crew members in the Akyem process plant.

Essential Duties:

•  Responsible for all process areas, i.e crushing, grinding, CIL, Elution, CCD, WSF and TSF
•  Work with the metallurgical team and laboratory to ensure the optimum metallurgical performance of the process plant.
•  Work with the maintenance team to achieve efficient plant equipment performance and availability.
•  Responsible for assist in controlling cost i.e reduce waste, improve operational control, etc.
•  Coordinate and execute smaller projects in the process area by following the change management procedure.
•  Accountable for completion of all tasks identified in the processing operations MOS elements to the specified quality and timeliness as assigned to this role.

Qualification Required & Experience

Technical skills, Education/Training & Experience

•  A Minimum of 20 years experience in Metalliferous mining, 5 or more years in gold processing
•  Minimum of 3 years experience as a shift supervisor or related supervisory role
•  Process experience in crushing, SAG and ball mill grinding, leach/CIL elution and electro winning.
•  High level of communication skills - verbal and written (English).
•  Process plant commissioning experience desirable
