A progressive Rural Bank in the Central Region is seeking to employ qualified professionals / persons to fill the following position: Credit Manager

Job Responsibilities

The job holder will perform the following duties

• Evaluate credit worthiness of potential customers
• Prepare monthly or quarterly reports to the CEO and regulators
• Develop credit scoring models for risk assessments
• Approve and reject loans based on available data
• Negotiate terms of loans with new clients
• Ensure all loans and lending procedures comply with regulations
• Maintain records of all of the Bank's loans
• Monitor loan payments and bad debts
• Review and update the Bank's credit policy
• Actively involve in loan recovery exercises
• Any other responsibilities as may be detailed by the CEO

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Banking and/or Finance or a similar fiend
• Second Degree will be an advantage
• Proven work experience as a Credit Manager
• Knowledge of Rural / Community Bank operations
• Good understanding of lending procedures
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Knowledge of T24 software
• Should be able to demonstrate a high sense of integrity
