Job Vacancy For Accounts Officer
A reputable indigenous first class local construction company is seeking to recruit a dyamnic, self-motivated and results oriented person for the position of Accounts Officer.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with banking activities
• Prepare vouchers and cheques for the release of funds as approved
• Ensure prompt and accurate payment of all statutory obligations such as SSNIT, TIER 2, PAYE etc
• Prepare bank reconciliation statements for the various bank accounts
• Ensure maximum compliance of tax laws, especially with withholding taxes in all purchases
• File payment vouchers and receipts and keep soft copies of all payments and receipts using excel or any accounting software
• Ensure that financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted polices and procedures
• Keep inventory of all company's property and update the inventory book yearly
• Maintain detailed, accurate, up-to-date budget information for all project activities and general operations to inform decision making by Chief Accountant and CEO
Work closely with the Chief Accountant and Internal Auditor by assembling and providing all necessary financial documents and information fur auditing
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of a First Degree qualification in accounting or finance from a reputable university
• Must have completed Part 2 of professional qualification, i.e ICAG or ACCA
• Must have at least 3 years of experience preferably in similar position
• Experience in construction industry will be an added advantage
• Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Excel
• Must be analytical with strong numercial skills
• Good knowledge of Ghana's Tax Laws
• A person of high integrity
• Must be a team player, willing and able to work long hours and sometimes during weekends
• Should be able to drive with a valid driver's licence
