The Energy Commission seeks results-oriented individuals for the above position.

Job Purpose:

The job holder will assist the Head of Strategic Planning and Policy to analyse data and draw conclusions to form the basis for policy recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

. Assist in the use of statistical modelling to plan and recommend policies on energy demand and supply to ensure sufficiency for the country
. Develop, establish, and maintain an effective M&E system and process, including determining measurement criteria and standards to provide requisite information for the purpose of planning and policy setting
. Assist in undertaking baseline studies and monitoring and any other requisite studies and ensure their implementation to achieve their objective

Qualification Required Or Experience

A good first degree in Statistics/Mathematics with at least 1 year post qualification experience

Competencies:

. Knowledge in research and analytical techniques
. Knowledge in Project Management and Evaluation
. High computer proficiency
. Good knowledge of the role of other regulators in the energy sector
. Competencies in report writing and presentation
. Ability to work with little or no supervision
. Team player and good interpersonal relations
. Ability to travel and work in remote areas of Ghana
. Self-motivated and proactive
. High computer proficiency in energy planning tools like LEAP, MAED, WASP, MESSAGE
