Position Summary

The credit analyst shall build, manage and sustain a portfolio of SME clients founded on efficient and reliable credit and financial risk assessment. The overall target of a credit analyst is to achieve a high quality and growing credit portfolio of SME clients.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

. Compile and evaluate clients financial / operational data and qualitative information for decision making on credit applications.
. Make feasible credit proposals that meet clients needs, as well as internal / external credit regulations
. Analyse all relevant risks for each credit application and propose optimal risk mitigation measures.
. Monitor clients businesses and conduct regular financial analysis in line with credit committee decisions.
. Manage all problem loans and in a professional and timely manner.
. Maintain a quality loan portfolio
. Regularly prepare and present Portfolio Management Reports.

Qualification, Experience and Skills required.

. A University Degree or HND in Accounting / Finance, Mathematics or related field
. Minimum of three years working experience in a related field
. Strong analytical skills
. Good understanding and interpretation of financial information
. Good communication (Verbal and written) skills
. Good knowledge and skills in Microsoft applications.
