The Energy Commission seeks results-oriented individuals for the above position.

Job Purpose:

The job holder will assist the Head of Energy Efficiency and Promotion in executing energy efficiency projects.

Key Responsibilities:

. Assist in formulating technical proposals and monitoring energy efficiency projects
. Assist in developing and implementing projects in collaboration with relevant agencies in efficient energy production, transmission and distribution
. Assist in the elaboration of rules and regulations to ensure standards and proper labeling regime for appliances
. Explore opportunities of climate-related financing mechanisms to finance energy efficiency project
. Make appropriate recommendations relating to the efficiency and effectiveness of energy efficient projects

Qualification Required Or Experience

. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
. Masters Degree in Economics, Finance or related discipline with at least 2 years relevant post qualification experience in the energy sector

Competencies:

. Knowledge in research and analytical techniques
. Knowledge in Project Management and Evaluation
. High computer proficiency
. Good knowledge of the role of other regulators in the energy sector
. Competencies in report writing and presentation
. Ability to work with little or no supervision
. Team player and good interpersonal relations
. Ability to travel and work in remote areas of Ghana
. Self-motivated and proactive
