Ghana Armed Forces Nationwide Recruitment September 2021



GENERAL ELIGIBILITY

Eligible applicants must:

• Be a citizen of Ghana.
• Be of good character.
• Be not less than 18 years and not more than 29 years of age by 31 December 2021.
• Be medically fit by Armed Forces standards
• Be not bonded.
• Be of minimum height of 1.68m (5’6?) for males and 1.60m (5’4?) for females
• Have 6 Credits (not less than Grade (6) at BECE including English and Mathematics.
• For Diploma categories, at least, C6 (WASSCE) or D (SSSCE) in 6 subjects including Core Mathematics and Core English. For Certificate categories, at least, D7 (WASSCE) or E (SSSCE) in 6 subjects including Core Mathematics and Core English.
• Must have completed the mandatory National Service or Internship.
• At least, one year post National Service or Internship/Rotation work experience is an added advantage.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

DIPLOMA CATEGORIES

General Nurses

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Nursing (Registered General Nursing/Registered Community Health Nursing) from an accredited institution of higher learning. Must be in good standing with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Ghana.

Psychiatry/Mental Nurses

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Mental Nursing (Registered Mental Nursing) from an accredited institution of higher learning. Must be in good standing with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Ghana.

Public Health Nurses

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Public Health Nursing (Registered Public Health Nursing) from an accredited institution of higher learning. Must be in good standing with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Ghana Midwives.
• Applicant must have a Diploma in Midwifery (Registered Midwifery) from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Must be in good standing with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Ghana.

Pharmacy Technicians

• Applicant must have an HND in Dispensing/ Pharmacy Technology from an accredited institution of higher learning. Must be registered with the Pharmacy Council and be in good standing.

Technical Officers (Medical Laboratory).

Applicant must have at least

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Must be registered and be in good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council.

Technical Officers (Dental Surgery Assistants)

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Registered Dental Surgery Assistants from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Must be registered and in good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council

Technical Officers (Dental Technology).

• Applicant must have at Diploma in Dental Technology from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Must be registered and in good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council.

Technical Officers (Environmental Health)

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Environmental Health from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Must be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council.

Technical Officers (Radiology)

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Radiology Technology from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Must be registered and in good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council.

Technical Officers (Nutrition)

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Public Health (Nutrition) or Diploma in Food Health & Nutrition from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Must be registered and in good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council.

Technical Officers (Disease Control & Surveillance)

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Public Health (Disease Control) from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Must be registered and in good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council.

Technical Officers (Physiotherapy)

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution of higher learning. Must be registered and in good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council.

Technical Officers (Optical)

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Optical Technology an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Must be registered and in good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council.

Technical Officers (Prosthesis & Orthotics).

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Prosthesis & Orthotics from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Must be registered and in good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council.

Technical Officers (Veterinary)

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Field Animal Health/Veterinary Laboratory Techniques from an accredited institution of higher learning and a letter of authentication from the Veterinary Council of Ghana.

Technical Officers (Health Information)

• Applicant must have at Diploma in Health Informatics from an accredited institution of higher learning.

Technical Officers (Health Promotion)

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Health Promotion from an accredited institution of higher learning.

Technical Officers (Biostatistics).

• Applicant must have Diploma in Health Statistics from an accredited institution learning a of higher

Biomedical Engineering Technologists.

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Medical Equipment Technology from an accredited institution of higher learning.

Human Resource/Administrative Assistants

• Applicant must have Diploma in Human Resource Management/Administration/
• Management Studies from an accredited institution of higher learning.

Medical Records Officers.

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Health Records Management/Archival
• Studies from an accredited institution of higher learning.

Technical Officers (Supply).

• Applicant must have an HND in Purchasing and Supply from an accredited institution of higher learning.

Health Education Officer.

• Applicant must have a Diploma in Health Education from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Must be registered and in good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council.

How To Apply For The Job

All applicants are required to carefully read through the entry requirements for clarification before application. Take note of all required data in the subsequent steps.

• Acquire a scratch card at FIFTY GHANA CEDIS (GH?50.00) from selected post offices nation-wide.
• Scratch gently to reveal the “PIN” code. The scratch card can be used for three times until a record is successfully submitted.
• Log on to the recruitment portal @ https://www.gafrecruitment.mil.gh/ with any of the following browsers: Mozilla Firefox / Google Chrome.
• Read through the entry requirements thoroughly.
• Ensure your mobile phone’s Cell Broadcast Message Service is turned “ON”. This can be done by going through the following steps on your phone:

• Page 2; Upload a scanned copy of your passport-sized photograph of dimension (170 x 150 pixels), enter a valid e-mail address, personal mobile phone number in the format (233244123456) and enter any other required data.
• Page 3; Enter the results of only the TWO required core subjects on your WASSCE/SSSCE Certificate, that is; CORE MATHEMATICS AND CORE ENGLISH. Enter your WASSCE or SSSCE Index number, WASSCE or SSSCE Certificate Serial Number. Upload only scanned copies of the following; WASSCE or SSSCE Certificate and Degree Certificate. NB: Each scanned document (Passport picture, WASSCE or SSSCE Certificate, Degree Certificate) to be uploaded, should not exceed 1(One) Megabyte and should be in JPEG picture format only.
• Click on the Preview Button to see a summary page of all data provided. Read through this page carefully and click on the back button, if there are any modifications to be made.
• Click on the submit button and expect an instant e-mail and text message, which includes your unique system generated Identification Number.
• Print and keep a copy of the generated report as you will be required to present it, if you are Qualified. However, if you lose your copy of the final report, go back to the recruitment portal, click on the PRINT SUMMARY Tab, enter your unique identification number sent to you by SMS/E-mail and order a re-print.
