IT Jobs in Ghana. The Energy Commission seeks results-oriented individuals for the above position.

Job Purpose:

The job holder will work under the supervision of the IT Systems Administrator to provide IT support services to the Commission.

Key Responsibilities:

. Implementing and configure the corporate LAN environment
. Hardware and Microsoft support for the Client machines
. Installation and configuration of network Printers
. Outlook configurations and support
. Provide functional and technical support, troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware and software problems, including desktop, laptop, LAN, and remote systems
. Deploying and configuring of PCs, Workstations and Laptops
. Maintenance, Troubleshooting of Desktop Pc's, Laptops
. Operating System Installation of Windows XP/VISTA and Windows 7
. Installation and Raid configuration of Windows server 2003 and 2008
. Explain the exact cause of problem and provide solutions to it
. Responsible for responding to customer calls on hardware issues

Qualification Required Or Experience

. HND or Diploma in Information Technology
. Microsoft certified System Administrator or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) with a minimum of three (3 ) years post qualification experience

Competencies:

. Experience with Windows XP/VISTA/Windows 7, server 2003 & 2008
. Experience with MS Office Packaged and Mail Clients
. Good Idea about Active directory, DNS and DHCP
. Good Idea about Backup strategies
. Well experienced in corporate desktop support environment; E-mail Client Configuration & Support (Microsoft Outlook and Outlook express); Windows 7, Vista and XP Professional Client Operating Systems
. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages
. Knowledge of LAN technologies
. Enhanced Security Features like DHCP snooping, Port Security
. Sound knowledge on IP addressing schemes
. Very good knowledge of OSI Layers
