The Golden Beach Hotels (GH Ltd), Parent company of three reputable Ghanaian owned Hotels located in Greater Accra, Central and Western Regions is seeking to recruit the following positions:

Job Title: Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares financial statements and debtors listings and provides direction to the night team so as to ensure proper revenue reporting
• Reviews all ledger details, guest ledger, city ledger and deposit ledgers to validate proper payment and revenues postings and coordinate with appropriate schedule officers to resolve any imbalance or difference found on the ledger
• Reviews postings, payments, revenues and guest balance reports on a daily basis
• Ensures correct taxation are applied on all billing software such as property management systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS)
• Ensures that all statutory details (VAT, TAX No, Company Registration No. etc) are displayed on the guest along with the supporting bills and statements
• Follows up on accounts to ensure customer has receive invoice and does not any questions
• Reviews the Accounts Receivable (A/R) ageing reports on a daily basis and follows after the initial billing if payment has not been received
• Checks customers credit ratings and blacklists long outstanding or defaulter records
• Forecast cash payments and anticipate challenges arising from limited cash flow to ensure that cash flows are adequate to allow business units to operate effectively
• Performs numerical analysis of data and formulates conclusions and or solutions
• Prepares financial reports and submits to relevant government entities. Also prepares and presents financial reports for meetings and investors
• Working with executives and business heads to prepare budgets and track profit / loss performance by business unit

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of bachelor's degree in Accounting or its equivalent from CA (Gh) or ACCA (UK)
• 5 to 6 years demonstrated Accounting experience, preferably in a hospitality or food and beverage environment
