KAMCCU Co-operative Credit Union Ltd is in search for a dynamic and results-oriented person to join its team of dedicated staff.

Position: Accountant

Accountants work to improve the efficiency and to maximize the profitability of an organisation. The position involves analysing financial information and preparing financial reports. Under the supervision of the Manager, the successful applicant would be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:

•   Preparing reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries and financial statements making use of current computer technology
•   Analyse business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice
•   Administering payrolls
•   Analysing and investigating annual and monthly financial statements
•   Financial forecasting and risk analysis
•   Report to management regarding the finances of the establishment
•   Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A good first degree in Accounting or an HND in Accounting
•   Professional qualification e.g ICA
•   Knowledge in Credit Union Accounting system in an added advantage

Key Skills required

•   Integrity
•   Interpersonal, negotiation and soft skills
•   Good IT background with analytical and numerical skills
•   Excellent commercial sense and interest in business development

Experience

We required the following experience from applicants to quality.

•   Five (5) years for HND holders
•   Four (4) years for Degree holders
•   Three (3) years for professional qualifications
