A multinational service company seeking to expand and consolidate its services offering to both the public and private sectors has vacancy for a dynamic person to join its winning team in providing these high end services to clients:

The Role

To provide Sales and Business development activities of Precision Farming services and execution of Precision Map and variable Rate application recommendations, Soil, Leaf and Water Analysis, Soil and Leaf sampling, independent Agricultural Advisory services, evaluations regarding Economic viability of Agricultural soils, satellite images, fertigation and yield analysis, good agricultural practices, marketing and research

Summary of main responsibilities

The job occupant will report directly to the Agri Food and Life Science (AFL) Manager and will be responsible for the following:

•   Responsible for the planning, monitoring, co-ordination, supervision and control of all operational activities under the oversight responsibility of the AFL manager.
•   Plans and carries out breeding studies at experiment stations or farms to assist clients develop and improve varieties of field crops, with respect to characteristicsm such as as yield, quality, adaptation to specific soils or climates and resistance to diseases and pests
•   Conducts experiments or investigations in field-crops to secure more efficient production, higher yield and improved quality
•   Development and implementation of Business Plans and Business development, Marketing and Sales Activities of PFS.
•   Supervise all PFS field activities and ensure good execution and reporting to PFS clients
•   Issuing weekly and Monthly field reports on PF activities to Head of Department
•   Weekly update of Precision farming activities to the Head of Department
•   Ensure the achievement of budget target and manage direct operational expenses

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Agri science or higher tertiary level qualification with at least 3 years active working experience in related job
•   Administrative skills with good working knowledge of MS Office suite
•   Ability to work as a team and favourable attitude towards working in the field
•   Ability to manage team and knowledge in team supervision
•   High knowledge of Agricultural and Farming practices
