The Ghana National Commission for UNESCO is inviting applications from suitably qualified Ghanaians who are goal-oriented, results-driven with good leadership qualities and enthusiasm for appointment to the position of: Assistant Programme Officers
Job Title: Assistant Programme Officers (Education, Culture and Communication & Information)
The Assistant Programme Officer position is an entry grade in the professional class of Programme Officers in the Public Service. The conditions of service is therefore as pertains in the public service of Ghana.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Collects data for the drafting of reports in designated area of work
• Compiles information for research, programmes and projects
• Assists in the conduct of research and writes reports
• Undertakes any other duty as may be assigned by the Secretary-General
Qualification Required & Experience
• Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in the relevan field from a recognised tertiary university
• Must have completed a one year compulsory National Service
• Must have a good command of written and spoken English language. A working knowledge of other langauges of the UN system, preferably French would be an advantage
• Must pass a competitive selection interview conducted by the Ghana National Commission for UNESCO in consultation with the Public Service Commission (PSC)
• Must not be more than 30 years as at 31st December, 2017

• Reporting & report writing
• Computer proficiency skills: MS Office applications, etc
Salary: SSSS Level 16L, step 1
