Job Vacancy For Assistant Project Manager
Job Summary
• The Assistant Project Manager will be based at the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD- Ghana), Accra, and will report to the Network's Project Manager.
Duties:
• Assist the PM in production of work plans and ensuring timely and effective implementation of survey activities by each National Partner (NP) in accordance with the work plan
• Help in reviewing budget proposals from NPs and ensure that there is fair balance across NPs with respect to the total budget allocated to each
• Ensure all preparations for fieldwork and actual fieldwork are done per AB protocols
• Assess NP capacity to effectively plan and implement fieldwork to AB standards
• Ensure that dissemination events are carried out in line with the Afrobarometer protocols
• Contribute to Project outreach by making periodic presentations at public briefings, conferences, workshops or press events
• Prepare reports as required by the AB Monitoring and Evaluation Unit, contribute to periodic preparations of bulletins, press releases and other AB materials
• Assist the Project Manager and CDD-Ghana Head of Research and Programmes on any other project tasks as needed
• Perform other activities that may be required
Remuneration: This position will attract competitive remuneration based on qualification and experience.
Qualification Required & Experience
• A Post-graduate degree, preferably in Social Science and/or Economics discipline
• Experience with conducting survey research
• Quantitative analytical skills
• Good writing skills and knowledge of and experience in using SPSS
• Flexibility and willingness to work on wide range of tasks
• Willingness to travel within Africa on a regular basis and occasionally beyond
• Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in a multi-national environment
• Working knowledge in French may be an advantage
