Yinson Production is a multinational Company in the business of building, operating and managing Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels, Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessels, and Mobile Offshore Production Units (MOPU) for the Oil and Gas Industry. Job Title: Assisting Safety Officer
JOB REF: GHOS - ASAFO- 19

Mission

•   Assist SAFO in monitoring all safety and environmental related issues on-board Act as HLO when required.

Scope

•   Area of responsibility covers monitoring of all safety equipment and oil cleanup equipment installed on FPSO.
•   The management may assign additional tasks not listed in Job Description.

Duties

•   Follow Permit to Work procedures.
•   Monitor waste and hazardous material management systems.
•   Monitor on-board training system and safety drills, including debriefing.
•   Monitor incident reporting system.
•   Monitor condition of all safety equipment.
•   Assisting safety officer in maintenance of firefighting and lifesaving equipment.
•   On-the-job-training of FPSO personnel and trainees.
•   Undertake training relevant to the position requirements.
•   Member of Emergency Response Team.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Essential Criteria -  to have completed education and meet the standard of STCW code A-II/1 for officer of watch (OOW)
•   8 years’ working  experience.
•   Standard of competence according to Yinson Competence Assurance Matrix
•   Very good written and spoken English.
