A reputable non-bank financial institution seeks the services of dedicated persons to fill the following position: Audit Officer
Job Summary
• The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices and documentation, and completes the audit work by preparing documenting audit tests and findings.
Technical skills
• Ability to audit business operations and financial transaction and ensure that all accounts are booked in accordance with the approved system of account and pointing out transactions that are contrary to the banking regulations and organisation's policies and procedures
• Ability to conduct head office and branch audit to ensure that all company systems, policies and procedures are being complied with and making the necessary recommendations
• Ability to conduct audit of reconciliations of advances/transfers to and from head office account
• Ability to make sound judgements
Qualification Required & Experience
• Experience as Audit Office with at least 3 years experience in banking audit or financial institutions
• BSc Administration (Accounting Option) or B.Com plus 3 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of Micro-finance within the Banking industry is required
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
