A reputable micro-finance company seeks the services of a results and goal-oriented individual to join our team as a BANKING OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

•   Understand the key responsibilities and task involved in the job
•   Ensure that all client transactions are captured on the banking operations.
•   Ensure that all interests and charges are executed on the accounts of the organization and the client.
•   Ensure that all daily cash balances at the branch are accounted for.
•   Manage Susu mobilisers.
•   Champion customer satisfaction at the branch

KEY FUNCTIONS

•   Review of Accounts opening registers;
•   Periodic review of all accounts opening forms to ensure that KYC policy requirements are met before they are authorized
•   Follow up with Customer Relationship Officer to ensure that deferred account opening documents are submitted.
•   Authorize/ Delete / reversed transactions
•   Authorize every withdrawal by signing on the instrument.
•   Act as a vault custodian- keeps one of the vaults keys.
•   Supervise Client service relations in the banking hall.
•   Ensure correctness of daily transaction posted to the Easy Bank system. Examine voucher to ensure they are properly prepared and approved in accordance with policy and procedures
•   Responsible for the end of day activities in Easy Bank system ensuring that all necessary reconciliation required as stipulated in the operating procedures are performed.
•   Ensure timely receipt of all Corporate Action announcements / notices from sources. Monitors and diarizes all corporate actions and ensure clients are timely advised and regularly updated.
•   Ensure receipt of client’s instruction, if required, for immediate implementation / action. Set-up procedures to ensure proper monitoring for shortfalls in client’s entitlements and seek loss avoidance.
•   Ensure that client entitlements on voluntary corporate actions are well protected.
•   Ensure dividend income and rights applications are processed on a timely basis.
•   Check remittance/conversion into other currency of rights payments and cash dividend entitlements.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A first degree in Business Admin or relevant degree with a minimum of three years’ experience in banking and teller operations.

•   Good negotiation and  persuasive skills
•   Ability to comply with due diligence and company procedures
•   Ability to manage and deal with people at all social levels
•   Knowledge in banking operations is an added advantage
