Job Vacancy For Business Development Manager

Job title: Business Development Manager
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Job Purpose
• This key management role shall primarily drive the business of the institution to achieve all set business objectives. The BDM shall be responsible for managing key business development activities such as, managing the products and services portfolio, channels of delivery, marketing approaches and working with assigned staff to achieve business results.
Major Responsibilities
• Lead the implementation of the institution's strategy defined and agreed upon by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
• Participate in strategy development process
• Implement strategies to ensure that VisionFund Ghana maintains its key competitive advantages at all times
• Manage key resources assigned for implementation of institutional strategies
• Define monthly and annual targets for all branches to reflect approved business plan targets
• Clearly communicate approaches to strategy implementation to all staff
Market Development
• Liaise with Regional and Branch managers to find suitable markets for VisionFund Ghana (VFG) to operate sustainably.
• Coordinate baseline surveys on specific mamrkets to inform management decisions on VFG markets
• Analyse market potential and advice management strategy to harness market potential to achieve set targets and strengthen the positioning of VFG
• Conduct internal market analysis to support Regional and Branch managers in strategy implementation
• Ensure that delivery channels are performing according to agreed standards
Integration
• coordinate all activities aimed at integration with World Vision Ghana (WVG).
• Guide Regional/Branch Managers on savings groups linkages and value chain activities to drive successful integration with World Vision Ghana.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all integration activities as required
• Ensure that Regional and branch managers attend regular meetings with WVG
• Attend monthly and quarterly meetings with WVG
• Provide monthly/quarterly reports to SLT as required
• Liaise with the Marketing team to ensure that integration activities are correctly captured and communicated in relevant marketing materials
Qualification Required & Experience
• A good First Degree with experience in Financial Services delivery (Bank, Rural Bank, Savings & Loans, MFIs)
• A professional qualification or second degree will be desirable
• A proven track record of portfolio and delinquency management is a must
• Must be computer literate (Microsoft suite-especially word, Excel and PPT)
• Must have at least 3 years working experience in a managerial capacity.
