Job Profile

•   Create business opportunities that will sustain and grow the PPS Brand. Oversee and manage the Takoradi branch.
•   Manage a team of Sales Engineers and Product managers.
•   Deliver new business growth and maximize revenue.
•   Report key business metrics to senior management

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•   Manage and develop “new added value” products/projects that create unique selling opportunities in order to generate profitable revenue.
•   Generate budgets and effectively control expenditure.
•   Design and implement a solution based sales strategy.
•   Anticipate future sales challenges and initiate appropriate actions to respond rapidly to meet the demands of a changing business environment, opportunities and threats.
•   Oversee and manage the sales team at the branch to ensure that all PPS Sales targets for the financial year are met and exceeded by strategically guiding the sales team in formulating optimal offerings to clients.
•   Lead, manage and mentor the sales team and lend support and guidance to their supporting structures and increase the effectiveness and professionalism of their sales approaches.
•   Build and maintain relationships with key PPS (Gh) clients in the catchment area.
•   Present and promote PPS (Gh) to industrial companies and agencies and keeping them abreast of changes, marketing strategies and of the positive/beneficial products developments.
•   Continuously look for, secure and manage new opportunities where the PPS (Gh) brand can be extended / associated with new or existing projects/products.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum three years experience as Business Development Manager.
•   Tertiary level degree/diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Materials Engineering/Business Management and/or Marketing Communication
•   Strong proven sales and negotiation background (proven ability to broker and "close the deal!")
•   Demonstrable understanding of strategic business goals and brand building
•   Excellent interpersonal, communication and Project Management skills
•   Motivational team leader able to drive results through strong initiative and work ethic
•   Excellent networker, able to develop cross-cultural relationship swiftly
•   Good organisation and strong attention to detail
•   Proven competence to develop relationships with stakeholders at any level
•   Essential
•   Valid Driving License.
•   Must reside in or around Takoradi or be prepared to relocate
