Job Vacancy For Business Manager – Public Sector



A leading financial institution seeks to fill some vacancy and invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following position: Business Manager - Public Sector

Job Objectives

• Responsible for developing business, increasing sales, profitability, market share and customer satisfaction within the Public Sector Unit.

Main Responsibilities include:

• Understand the business strategy of the public sector organisations, the risk associated with this strategy and the capability to execute that strategy in terms of market dynamics, financial strengths management skills etc
• Responsible for the achievement of monthly and annual targets of the unit
• Develop new businesses within the Public Sector
• Assist the Group in its drive for deposit mobilization, LAD.
• FX and enhance profitability within segment
• Ensure efficient service and maintenance of existing customers
• Generate new revenue opportunities from existing & prospective customers within the sector
• Structure credit facilities to meet customer needs in line with bank's policies
• Ensure compliance with the guidelines and procedures on "Know your Customer" for account opening and guidelines for operational risk management
• Build, nurture and assist team members in the unit. Create and direct long term relationships both internally and externally

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of a good 1st degree from a recognized university
• 5 years general banking experience
• Sound knowledge of general banking law and practices
• Experience in lending proposition preparation/processing, competence in analysis of financial information and forecasting
• High marketing/selling proficiency
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills
• Sales targeting and cost budgeting
• Monitoring and reviewing sales performance/analysis
• Good team leadership qualities
• Good negotiation and decision-making skills
• A self-starter with a high degree of initiative
