The National Service Scheme is looking for qualified and experienced persons for employment in the following position: Catering Assistants

Job Purpose

•   To assist in the preparation of food and pastries as well as the supervision and control of the catering unit.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the incumbent include but not limited to the following:

•   Ensure hygienic standards at the kitchen
•   Supervise and actively lead in the preparation of quality hygienic food and pastries
•   Effectively market food products to the public to increase sales
•   Deliver food orders in time to ensure customer satisfaction
•   Act in the adsence of the senior catering officer to ensure the smooth running of the unit
•   Supervise the finishing and packaging of food and pastries

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Higher National Diploma in Catering and Hospitality Management with minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification experience (National Service Excluded)
•   Advanced or Ordinary Diploma in Catering and Hospitality management or related field with minimum of 4 years relevant post qualification working experience
•   Age between 25 and 35 years old
•   Very good communication skills (verbal and written)
•   Good housekeeping skills
•   Very good supervisory and interpersonal skills
•   Excellent catering skills
