Description:

We currently have a position available for an experienced Lathe Machinist/Team Leader to head up a small dedicated team of Lathe machinists, Turners, Fabricators reporting directly to the Company Directors. This role is a great opportunity to join a leading Manufacturing company who are based in Kasoa-Winneba Road (Akoti Junction). This role will ideally suit someone who has solid CNC/Traditional Lathe Machines skills with proven team leader/supervisory experience.

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the Manufacturing Team, and as the shop-floor leading hands, you will be responsible for all machining/milling works on the busy shop floor.
• You will be the main driving force for the scheduling of workload, allocation of all works to staff, trouble-shooting, Initial review and set up of new product, ensuring fastest cycle times possible are achieved, without sacrificing on quality, increasing the departments efficiencies & overall output.

Qualification Required & Experience

Candidate requirements:

• Extensive experience in machining metals, plastics and other materials on a range of Multi axis machines.
• Have already held a senior/supervisory/Team leader machine-shop position for at least 2 years.
• Have a detailed understanding of Engineering Drawing.
• Quick to learn new systems, machines & processes and the ability to pass this knowledge onto others.
• Dynamic approach to all production works, ensuring the best/quickest solution is implemented & achieved every time.
• Must be both quality & efficiency focused.
• Able to make quick decisions but with a common sense approach.
• Be able to drive the department forward and instill a sense of ownership & “a want to progress” in all shop-floor staff.
• Strong communicator, able to lead from the front.
• Calm and professional in approach.
• Computer literate with good Excel Knowledge.
