Job Vacancy For Cocoa District Supply Chain Lead
Our client is an international provider of food and agricultural products and services with more than 100,000 employees in more than 50 countries. The company is present in the cocoa sourcing sector in Ghana. Our client is seeking to recruit highly motivated individuals with integrity, conviction and courage for the position of: Cocoa District Supply Chain Lead
Duties:
• Provides support and feedback to definition of improvement projects and commitments requiring a through understanding of supply chain planning practices and procedures
• Calculates and analysis stock levels and monitors inventory health and shelf life of cocoa in the warehouse
• Manage offloading, storage and administration of beans into warehouse
• Conduct appropriate analysis to confirm the grade of raw cocoa beans supplied. Monitor the quality of raw cocoa beans in the warehouse and ensure delivery of the right quantities
• Responsible for the effective planning & authorization of all truck movements & routes for collection of cocoa beans in a manner that optimizes the use of the resources i.e vehicles & fuel, thereby avoiding wastages and enhancing value for money operations
• Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities within the District
• Manages and provides coaching and / or training to team
• Enforce the safety, food safety, equipment safety, fire protection, security rules and takes all necessary actions to maintain a safe, food safe, secured environment
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in Supply Chain Management or and First Degree + minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar or analogous role
• Significant experience in Warehouse Management / Supply Chain or Logistics Management with commodities
• Ability to act as a leader
• Analytical and strategic thinking that creates value
• Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet, etc)
• Ability to advice and influence relevant stakeholders
• Trustworthiness
• Ability to drive with valid driver's license
