Purpose
• To manage the profitable and sustainable growth of the bank's client base.
• To ensure that the high standards demanded by clients are maintained through efficient and innovative product and service delivery.
Responsibilities
Finance:
• Implementation of a Segment aligned strategy to balance short term growth of Business Unit with long term sustainability of Segment and Balance short term growth of Business Unit with long term sustainability of Segment and FNB Group.
• Balance short-term growth of Business Unit with long-term sustainability of Segment and FNB Group.
• Manage Cost-to-Income to increase profitability and efficiencies for the Segment Client Services:
• Enable enduring, rewarding relationships through definition creation and socialisation of an FNB Segment aligned and integrated Business Unit customer (Sales & Service) delivery strategy in support of the FNB Brand.
• Maximise Business Portfolio, cross-sell opportunities and strengthen Key Client Relationships.
• Track, control and influence sales activities with specific aim to achieve previously determined sales targets for Key Clients. Process:
• Definition and communication of FNB aligned segments’ strategies to optimise efficiencies, innovation, process improvements, technology, governance etc.
• Monitor changes in legislation, regulations, initiatives and relevant industry practices. Ensure drafting and implementation of appropriate interventions. Ensure compliance with audit requirements for the Segments under control. • Translate Segments, under control, strategies into actionable goals and execute relevant projects / initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress and ensures that the credit proposals are designed comprehensive enough to portray the real business case that is beneficial for both parties.
• Develop a deep understanding of the technical trends, commercial market, competition and trends in the Segment market. Research and identify new entrants in the relevant industries (mobile, payments, finance etc) Assess opportunities and threats from these entrants.
• Improve Segment business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence (information) together with analysing trends and data.
People:
• Execute the Segment people strategy that nurtures talent and embraces the values, culture and philosophy of entrepreneurship, accountability and innovation in order to meet current and future business needs.
• Hold direct reports in the Segment accountable for the implementation of Leadership Strategy that drives behaviour towards high performance.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Relevant post graduate degree
• 7 – 8 years work related experience
