MAIN DUTIES

• Carries out periodic community mobilization and sensitization including systems planning, design, construction and management.
• Carries out periodic training/orientation of WSMTs and operational staff on their defined roles.
• Spearheads and establishes a Learning Alliance Platform for all stakeholders in assigned zone.
• Carries out hygiene promotion for water safety and related environmental protection.
• Provides orientation on tariff setting and periodic reviews.
• Ensures the formulation and enactment of bye-laws for the management and operations of the water system
• Receives and addresses customer complaints and provides other customer relations services
• Liaises with District and other relevant stakeholders on community mobilization issues
• Supervises the activities of water vendors

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicant must have

• A University Degree in the Social Sciences, preferably in Sociology or Psychology, Nursing, Public Health or an affiliated discipline.
• Certificate in Public Health, Communication, Public Relations or Adult Education is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of WASH management and challenges.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrable proficiency in the use of computers with ability to present reports in at least ‘Word’ and ‘Excel’.
• Proficiency in the language of the area of work
• Satisfactory performance at a selection interview.
