A reputable savings & loans company Ltd invites applications from qualified, experienced and goal-oriented young individuals for the following position: Credit Analyst

Job Purpose

• The job holder is to provide support for the market facing Business units with the aim of ensuring that quality risk assets are booked in line with the company's portfolio plan, credit policy and external regulatory guidance

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed credit analysis of requests and make recommendations as appropriate for the Chief Risk Officer's consideration
• Ensure that appropriate due diligence is performed on credit facilities
• Ensure that all required documentations are covered in the Business Units credit request packaging
• Evaluate and recommend is appropriate the appointment of independent project consultants, warehousing agent for approval
• Timely and accurate preparation of executive summary in respect of application for the consideration of the management credit committee, and board of directors
• Assist in providing advisory services to Business Units on credit-related transactions and issues
• Supports the Head of Risk Management as resource person for training and development sessions for credit analysts, relationship/business managers in the business facing units
• Assist the Chief Risk Officer in the implementation of various process improvement initiatives in order to provides requisite support to ensure alignment of company's goals and objectives
• Any other job as assigned by the supervisor

Qualification Required & Experience

• A 1st Degree from a reputable institution is any discipline. A post graduate degree and professional certification will be an added advantage
• The candidate should have at least 3 years work experience in credit analysis or similar role
• The ideal candidate should be analytical, have a strong flair for figures and proficient in Microsoft of Excel
• Ability to take constructive and productive initiatives in the midst of laid down rules and policy guidelines
• The candidate must pay prompt attention to details and ability to work under pressure
• The candidate should have strong have a flair for current issues and developments in the various local industries, political space and international economies
• Knowledge of BOG Prudential guidelines
