A reputable savings & loans company Ltd invites applications from qualified, experienced and goal-oriented young individuals for the following position: Credit Monitoring Officer

Job Purpose

• To ensure that the transaction dynamics of all facilities are strictly adhered to in order to maintain a very high quality risk asset portfolio for the company

Job Responsibilities

Analyse credit reports of the Business Units to identify the following category of accounts

• Expired 7 expiring facilities
• Accounts operating in excess of approved limits
• Accounts with unauthorised balances
• Accounts with overdue loan repayment and bank charges
• Ensuer that Business units regularise th exections identified in the credit reports within stipulated timelines
• Identify and present non performing accounts to management for approval to classify and make appropriate provisions
• Identify and present improved non performing accounts to management for approval to reclassify and effect appropriate take backs
• Assist in the management and monitoring of classified / impaired assets of the company with the sole aim of bringing them to performing status using curative measure
• Assist in ensuring compliance to restructured facilities lifecycle, from inception to expiration in collaboration with the branches
• Bring out timely accounts not going in line with approved conditions/covenants
• Any other job as assigned by the supervisor

Qualification Required & Experience

• A 1st Degree from a reputable institution in any discipline. A Post graduate degree and professional certification will be an added advantage
• The candidate should have at least 3 years working experience in risk management assessment or similar role
• Knowledge of Banking Application, Credit Process, Statistics and experience using statistical methods for data analysis is essential
• The ideal candidate should be analytical and detailed oriented
• The candidate should have a strong flair for figures and proficient in Microsoft of Excel
• The candidate should have strong communication skills (verbal & written)
