Job Vacancy For Design, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Duties and responsibilities are:
• Support the roll out of a monitoring and evaluation framework for accountability and learning at national and local level to better measure Impact and progress against objectives
• Build the capacity of the Child protection Social Drive's network and Partners; support the improved design of M&E frameworks of Implementing partners
• Support the impact assessment of activities end associated capturing of learning.
• Assisting in the selection / refinement of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) indicators relevant to the national monitoring and evaluation framework
• Assisting in designing a monitoring and evaluation framework in line with national priorities and standards
• Assisting in designing M&E standard tools
• Identifying relevant sources of information, designing and developing long term M&E system to assess child protection related social norms changes
• Monitoring and assessing programmes and projects implementation
• Offering recommendetions for improvement of implementation mechanisms and researching best practices in M&E, including operational structures and procedures
• Capacity building and knowledge sharing for social drive's main partners and implementing partners
• Assist in the management developing quarterly, six-month and annual reports
• Develop and share field visit reports with relevant staff
• Assisting external evaluators in data collection
• Assist the management during multi-year plan and budget process, including assisting in regular planning reviews
• The incumbent may be required to perform some of the full range of the duties or the position
Remuneration: Based on experience
Qualification Required & Experience
• Master's degree in, Social Science, Statistics, Development or other related field
• Minimum of five years' experience in monitoring and evaluation with at least two years with some international organization
• Experience in monitoring end evaluating social change projects
• Experience of field delta collection
• Experience of report writing
• Proved PM&E experiences
• Understanding of the current M&E trends and especially M&E systems in development organizations
• Ability to manage his/her own workload
• Good written English and communication skills
• Good numeracy skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel Is essential
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and qualitative and quantitative research skills
• Strong negotiation and representation skills
• Excellent understanding of Project cycle Management, and M&E tools and approaches
• Experience in advisory coaching and training roles
• Knowledge of IT technologies for M&E
• Data collection and data management expertise
• Knowledge of participatory M&E (PM&E) techniques
