The Ghana National Commission for UNESCO is inviting applications from suitably qualified Ghanaians who are goal-oriented, results-driven with good leadership qualities and enthusiasm for appointment to the position of: Driver GD. II

Job Title: Driver GD. II

Duties and Responsibilities

• Convey officials, goods and equipment to and from designated destinations
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicles
• Ensure periodic scheduled vehicle maintenance is completed and reported
• Prepare trip reports
• Provide safety briefing to officials and prepare accident and incident reports as and when necessary

Qualification Required & Experience

• Must have a GCE "O" Level/SSSCE/WASSCE Certificate
• Must have a valid driver's license not below category D3 and having had an accident free safety driving experience for a minimum of 2 years
• Must pass a competitive selection interview conducted by the Ghana National Commission for UNESCO in consultation with the Public Service commission (PSC)
• Must not be more than 35 years as at 31st December, 2017

Competencies

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Ghana road traffic rules and regulation
• Knowledge in vehicle maintenance

Salary: SSSS Level 16L, step 1
